1. What Theta Stays is
Theta Stays connects Guests looking for a room with Landlords who have one to offer. We don't process payment for the stay itself — that's arranged directly between Guest and Landlord. Where we do charge a fee (a per-booking amount or a landlord's monthly membership), that's described on the FAQ page.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate information when signing up or applying for landlord access, and keep your login credentials to yourself. Landlord access is granted only after review by an organiser; we can suspend or decline access at our discretion.
3. Guest confidentiality
As a Guest, enquiring about or booking a room may give you access to a Landlord's address, name, or other contact details. By using Theta Stays you agree:
"I promise not to use this platform to harvest data, and I will not share landlord addresses, names, or contact details outside this platform."
That means no reselling, publishing, or passing on a Landlord's details for any purpose beyond the stay you're actually enquiring about or booking.
4. Landlord responsibilities
Listings must be accurate — the room, the price, and what's included. Once you accept a booking, you're committing to honour it on the agreed dates and terms. You're responsible for whatever tax or legal obligations apply to renting out your property in your jurisdiction; Theta Stays doesn't advise on that.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Theta Stays to harass, discriminate against, or misrepresent yourself to another user, or to attempt to bypass how enquiries, bookings, or fees work on the platform.
6. Liability
Theta Stays facilitates the introduction between Guest and Landlord; we aren't a party to the accommodation arrangement itself and aren't liable for its outcome. Use good judgement, and message the other party directly if anything about a booking is unclear.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continuing to use Theta Stays after a change means you accept the updated terms.
